Why us

Three owners, 54 years in the trade

Triple D is owner run. Between the three of us there's 54 years of excavation and site work in this valley, along with the relationships that come from working in it that long. You won't get a salesman on the phone and a stranger on the machine.

We take the jobs that fit and say so plainly when one doesn't. Small lots, tight access, work that has to happen next week. Those are worth our time.

What comes with a bid

  • A written scope, line by line

What we do

What we take on

Subdivision site work, residential lots, commercial pads, rural and ag dirt. We bid lump sum, unit price or T and M, whichever suits the job.

Not on the list? Ask anyway. Send us the scope and we'll tell you whether we're the right outfit for it.

03

How a bid works

From your email to a number

Send the scope

Email us or use the form. Plans, a plat map, a pin drop and a description. Any of it gets us started.

We look at the site

Access, soil, slope, where the water goes. Most cost surprises in excavation live right here.

You get a written bid

Broken out by line item, unit priced where that fits, exclusions stated plainly.

We dig

Locates called before anything breaks ground. We walk the finished grade with you before the machine leaves.

Where we work

Homedale out, as far as the job justifies

We're in Homedale, so the Treasure Valley and the Owyhee County side are home ground. We take work further out when it's worth the trip, and mobilization is quoted on its own line so you can see what the travel costs before deciding.

Remote sites, steep ground, and jobs the last contractor walked away from are worth an email.

Questions

Things people ask

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, both. Registered with the state and carrying general liability and workers' comp. Ask and we'll send a certificate naming your entity before we mobilize.

How much does excavation cost?

Nobody can quote dirt sight unseen, and anyone who does is guessing. Access, soil, rock, haul distance, how much material comes in or goes out, how tight the finish tolerance is. All of it moves the number. That's why we walk the site and send a written breakdown instead of a range.

Do you handle permits and utility locates?

Locates get called on every job, no exceptions. On permits, the bid says which ones we pull and which stay with the owner or GC, so nothing falls between us.

Will you travel to my project?

We work statewide. Anything outside the Treasure Valley gets mobilization on its own line, so you can decide whether the trip pens out before signing.

Can you work in winter?

Depends on frost depth and whether we can get to the site. Utility work and demo often keep going. Finish grading and compaction usually wait for thaw, and we'll say so rather than sell you work that won't pass inspection.

Do you work directly with homeowners?

Yes. Builders, GCs, developers and homeowners. A single driveway or septic system is a real job to us.

Got dirt to move?

Send us the scope and you'll get a written number back from the person who'll be running the machine.
